What it is:

     Basketball is a sport created by James Naismith in 1891, where two five player team compete against each other, with the goal to put the basketball ball inside the basket. Each point is worth 2 points, but behind the 3 point line is worth 3 points and free trows 1 point. Basketball have millions of fans and players all over the world, and the most famous league is the NBA.

 

Why to practice:

     Besides the free time you can waste playing the sport and meet new people while playing with others, basketball also promotes cardiovascular health, burns calories, improve your strength and immune system, boosts mental and coordination skills, self-discipline, team work, over more…
